III. INTRODUCTION TO DIAGNOSIS AND TREATEMENT
PLANNING Chapter 8. Classification, typology, terminology of
anomalies in Dento-Facial Orthopaedics (D.F.O.) After a short presentation of Angle\92s classification of
malocclusion, the concept of facial typology as the basic constant in
diagnostic methodology is studied in detail. The system of F.D.I.
terminology devoted to anomalies of teeth, alveolar processes and jaw
bases is explained in a manner that allows quick and easy use in diagnosis
and everyday communication. Chapter 9. Principles of diagnosis This chapter takes the central place in this book because
its contents and range represent the first step in treatment planning and
practice.Periodontal tissue and oral occlusal function clinical
examination are highlighted. The majority of paraclinical examinations are
conducted by X-ray procedures used in orthodontics. Here we have in mind
well known cephalometric analyses which are described in detail.Space
analysis for harmonious alignment of permanent teeth is considered by
means of general concept of dentoalveolar diharmony (ALD).Etiology,
symptoms, measurement, and differential diagnosis ALD are studied in a
manner that shows their importance in this phase of examination in making
a decision regarding the extraction of teeth. Chapter 10. Treatment planning Treatment planning follows the preceding chapter because it is based on diagnostic conclusions. Here we determine the best therapeutic strategies based on the facial typology and age of of patient.Current solutions for the correction of malocclusion I, II, and III class with ALD are demonstrated using fixed orthodontic techniques. |
III UVOD U DIJAGNOSTIKU I PLAN TERAPIJE U FIKSNOJ
ORTODONCIJI Glava 8. Klasifikacija, tipologija, terminologija
anomalija u DFO Posle kratkog izlaganja o Englovoj klasifikaciji
svakodnevnoj komunikaciji. Glava 9. Osnove dijagnostike u fiksnoj
ortodonciji Glava 9 zauzima centralno mesto u ovoj knjizi jer po
sadrzaju i obimu predstavlja prvi korak u planiranju i sprovodjenju
lecenja.
razmatra kroz globalnu sliku dentoalveolerne disharmonije (DAD).
terapeutske taktike u zavisnosti od starosti pacijenta i facijalne
tipologije.

Chapter 11. Main procedures and general mechanics
using fixed orthodontic appliances Choosing and attaching elements of fixed orthodontic
appliances are the first phase of treating orthodontic anomalies.Along
with basic instructions for bending wire and forming an ideal arch wire
this chapter describes the acting of intermaxillary elastics, extra-oral
forces and the concept of anchorage. Chapter 12. Edgewise technique Edgewise is the main fixed orthodontic technique. After a
historical introduction, the current application of edgewise through the
"Ten-Two" system is shown.Various phases of edgewise are described through
a presentation of the correction of malocclusion II/1 class with
extraction first premolars.Aspect of straight arch technique, a widespread
modification designed by various authors. Chapter 13. Segmented arch technique by
Burstone Segmented arch technique by Burstone is the best example
of second generation edgewise appliances and has a prominent place in the
therapeutic arsenal of current orthodontics. The relationship of M/F with
center of tooth rotation, and tooth segments are considered from a
clinical perspective and then concept of the segmented arch technique and
its phases are developed. Chapter 14. Relapse and retention The study of relapse after orthodontic correction is conducted through an analysis of biological factors and the relationship between the frequency of relapse and certain types of anomaly.Nonmechanical and mechanical methods of retention are described as well as the most commonly used appliances. |
Glava 11. Osnovni postupci i opste mehanike u fiksnoj
ortodonciji Izbor vrste i nacini postavljanja elemenata fiksnog
aparata su prva faza lecenja ortodontskih anomalija. Uz osnovne
instrukcije osavijanju zice i izradi idealnog luka, ovde se opisuje
delovanje intermaksilarnih gumica, ekstraoralnih sila i pojam
uporista. Glava 12.
posle kratkog istorijata, opisan u savremenom obliku kroz verziju "Ten-Two
System". Razlicite faze terapije edgewiseom su prezentirane kroz prikaz
korekcije malokluzija II/1 klase sa ekstrakcijama prvih premolara. Aspekti
predstavnik druge generacije edgewise aparata i zauzima vazno mesto u
terapeutskom arsenalu moderne ortodoncije.
Glava 14. Recidiv i retencija Proucavanja recidiva posle zavrsenih ortodontskih korekcija se vrsi kroz analizu bioloskih faktora i relacije frekvenca recidiva tip anomalije. Kao metode retencije se opisuju nemehanicki i mehanicki postupci uz navodjenje najcesce upotrebljivanih aparata. |
